Golden Tippy teas are just that: tea leaves with quite a bit of the tip (or leaf buds). Plucked with care, these wiry leaves, with a slight golden hue, are some of the most prized harvest, available only in limited quantities each season. The leaves impart a malty, robust flavor with a sweet honey-like finish. They can be drunk alone or with milk.
We worked with a new, certified organic, family-owned tea estate in Assam, a northeastern state at the base of the Himalayas, who are passionate about the environment to source this tea. They produce leaves that are grown in tandem with nature, and hand-harvested to ensure a beautiful, full leaf.
